Job Purpose
As a member of the Central and UK HR team provide a professional HR service to the business
Dimensions
All aspects of HR including recruitment, employment terms and conditions, employee relations and staff development and performance management. Keeping up to date and adapting with the changing requirements of the Company and relevant External bodies.
Principal Accountabilities
- Recruitment – provide cover as needed supporting the recruitment activity in a timely and cost effective way in accordance with the company policy
- Terms and conditions of employment – understanding and where appropriate advising on both company, legal and competitive aspects of engagement including remuneration and benefits
- Payroll – preparation of the payroll and be the first contact for public authorities
- Employee records - Create, update and maintain all personnel record and related information in accordance with company and statutory requirements
- Staff development – support and assist in staff development matters as required including the induction process and other members of the HR team
- Performance management – promote and support the implementation of Company’s next tools
- HR policies – update current or develop new HR policies and procedures as necessary. Provide training and advice on these to AVEVA managers and staff as required.
- Projects – participate in HR related projects as assigned including appropriate research and analysis
Important Working Relationships
- As a member of the HR team form and build relationships with managers and staff, promoting best practice.
- Suppliers ensuring a professional and value for money service
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- Professional education or study with focus on Human Resources
- Relevant HR generalist knowledge regarding employment practices
- Very good command of spoken and written German and English
- First experience in supporting and running projects
- Open mindedness, intercultural skills, high flexibility and team orientation
as well as bias for action
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Strong focus on customers internal and external, for whom you are a trusted advisor
- Good knowledge in MS OFFICE, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Knowledge with DATEV or comparable accounting systems would be an asset
- Willingness to travel to other AVEVA Offices in Europe as required
